Argyle Campbelltown hosted a community breakfast at the Nagle Centre on Tuesday 9th August to coincide with the national census date. The event was part of Homelessness Week and helped people experiencing homelessness, or those who had no long-term accommodation, ensure they were counted in the national survey.

Argyle staff along with Vinnies volunteers helped serve up a hot breakfast while census staff gathered vital information from people who attended throughout the morning. A total of 59 meals were served and there were plenty of smiles and laughter from all who attended. One community member expressed his gratitude saying ‘I was worried about having to use a computer and I am not very good filling out forms. Coming here is like a having family helping you.’

Argyle is looking to further partner with census to assist tenants who still need to lodge their details. Tenants who need information on census are urged to contact the Campbelltown office on 4627 0002.
