Michele, Joanne and Vicki from the Griffith and Wagga offices accompanied 12 of the tenants from Wagga on a bus trip to the Floriade in Canberra on Friday 20th September, 2013.
The first stop was in Gundagai for morning tea where it was pouring rain. However, by the time they reached Canberra the sun was shining through and it was a beautiful day to visit the gardens.
What an exciting day was had by all! One of the participants had her first ‘spin’ on a scooter and was photographed by the Canberra Times. Tenants also enjoyed a tour of Canberra after visiting the gardens and called into the War Memorial Museum and Parliament House.
All the tenants who participated had a wonderful day with new friendships being formed and arrangements put in place to keep in contact in the future.
