Sunday 7 July 2013 marks the start of NAIDOC week, an important period in the Australian calendar. NAIDOC stands for National Aborigines and Islanders Day Observance Committee and is a celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and an opportunity to recognise the contributions of Indigenous Australians.
During this week Argyle invite you to join in the celebrations and reflect upon the contributions of Indigenous Australians.
To find out about the NAIDOC celebrations and events in your local area, click here for events in NSW, or click here for events in the ACT.
Each day this week, Argyle will be sharing the reflections of our Tenants, Staff, Executive and Community Partners who will answer the question; What does NAIDOC week mean to you? They will also share personal stories of inspiration where Indigenous people or culture has impacted on their lives.
Please check our website daily during NAIDOC week to read these new articles as they are released.
Enjoy the celebrations!
