We have amazing talent here in Young and now recognised throughout New South Wales. The Schizophrenia Fellowship of NSW has commended Mr Stephen Jeffries on his entry in the poetry category for his rather touching Poem – Street Light Pole is Drunkenly and awarded him with a certificate and published recognition on their website.
Street light pole is heavily drunk, is intoxicated
swaying and swinging on the footpath as he
advanced to the pub. Crawl one by one street
light pole enter the pub, drink brown ale old
beer in cold tankard. He enjoys it so much he
has one brown ale old beer. He moves on
stumbling along and swaying. Waltzing and
stumbling along in the cool gently breeze of late
Night.
