Ainslie Village in conjunction with St John’s Care (Youth) and the Multi-Cultural Youth & Family Service hosted a BBQ at the Village on Thursday 27th November 2014.

St John’s Care Youth assists youth 12-25 who are homeless or at risk of homelessness by addressing their immediate needs.   This may include crisis accommodation, housing applications, Centrelink payments etc. Assistance is provided to link them in with the most appropriate service for their long term needs and support is given to provide transition into that service

Multi-Cultural Youth and Family Service (MYS) is a small not-for-profit organisation that assists young people age 12 to 25 and their families from migrant, refugee and asylum seeker background in the ACT, NSW South and South Eastern regions

47 Villagers and visitors attended the event enjoying Hamburgers, sausages, salads and cold drinks for lunch.   Both programs engaged with Villagers and informed them about their services as they ate.
