  • Managing Challenges Collaboratively – Parenting Course

This free 8-session parenting program, developed by Dr. Steve Walker, is designed to support parents and carers of children (ages 2–17) experiencing challenging behaviours, including ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder (ODD), and Conduct Disorder. The course provides practical strategies to reduce outbursts, manage behaviour collaboratively, and foster positive family relationships.

  • Connect for Life – Peer Support & Therapeutic Photography Program

Connect for Life is a powerful eight-week program running throughout 2025, designed for individuals with lived experience of suicide. This includes people who have experienced loss through suicide or have had suicidal ideation in the past. The program blends peer support discussions with therapeutic photography, encouraging creative expression and emotional exploration. Sessions are held weekly and are fully funded by the South Western Sydney Primary Health Network (SWSPHN), making the program free to attend. Following the initial program, participants are invited to contribute to a public photography exhibition in October 2025, using imagery and creative writing to challenge harmful narratives around suicide, raise awareness, and offer hope.

Proudly supported by Wingecarribee Shire Council, Lens on Strengths is an interactive, full-day training designed for professionals, volunteers, and community leaders across a wide range of sectors—including youth and family services, domestic violence prevention, ageing, suicide prevention, education, and interagency forums.

This hands-on workshop explores the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) methodology, storytelling, and codesign practices to build capacity, enhance engagement, and improve collaborative efforts across communities.

Facilitated by Dimitrios Papalexis, founder of Soulgen and leading expert in ABCD and arts-based community engagement, the event includes practical learning activities such as asset mapping, World Café conversations, and multi-agency strategy development.

Transport for NSW is offering free child car seat safety inspections, encouraging families to ensure their children are safe and secure while travelling. Studies show that 2 in 3 car seats are not used correctly, highlighting the importance of having seats checked by professionals. Authorised Restraint Fitters will be on-site to inspect car seats and booster seats for safety and correct installation.
