Argyle Housing is pleased to highlight its ongoing partnership with Anglicare, which plays a vital role in supporting Clients across the Southern Highlands. The collaboration enables both organisations to deliver coordinated support, ensuring Clients receive the right assistance at the right time.
Leanne, a Senior Caseworker at Anglicare, has been in her role for nearly three years, overseeing services in the Southern Highlands. She works closely with Argyle Housing to connect Clients with tailored support through a structured assessment process and coordinated casework.
Anglicare provides a range of support services for Clients, including rental support programs, financial counselling, advocacy, and referrals to essential services. Anglicare also works with community pantries in Mittagong and Moss Vale to provide Clients with access to food support, alongside outreach services from the Argyle Housing Bowral office and the Salvation Army.
Looking ahead, Anglicare will place a stronger focus on financial capability in 2026. This includes supporting Clients with budgeting, payment plans, services such as Centrelink. These services aim to build long-term stability and support Clients to sustain their housing.
A Client Story: Support in Action
A recent example highlights the impact of this partnership. A Client who had experienced significant stress due to her son’s repeated hospital stays had fallen behind on rent. Through ongoing support and collaboration between Argyle Housing and Anglicare, Leanne worked with the Client to develop a sustainable plan to manage rent payments.
This support included discussing payment plans and options for ongoing stability. To assist with immediate financial pressure, the Client was offered access to one of Anglicare’s community pantries, which helped reduce weekly expenses and free up funds for rent. The assistance ultimately enabled the Client to clear her arrears and regain stability.
Leanne emphasised that the process of supporting this Client was longer term and involved ongoing communication, trust, and compassion. The outcome demonstrates how coordinated support can create safer, more stable environments for Clients experiencing hardship.
A Shared Commitment to Client Wellbeing
Argyle Housing values the partnership with Anglicare for its shared commitment to supporting Clients with dignity and compassion. The collaboration is grounded in open communication, trust, and a genuine focus on Client wellbeing.
Through this partnership, both organisations can respond more quickly, coordinate supports more effectively, and contribute to improved outcomes for Clients experiencing significant stress and hardship.
Argyle Housing is proud to work closely with Anglicare, with the aim to provide Clients with a hand up, not a handout.
