National Reconciliation Week (NRW) is celebrated across Australia each year between 27 May and 3 June.  The dates commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey—the anniversaries of the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision.

The week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements and to explore how each of us can join the national reconciliation effort.

Argyle staff across the regions will be taking part in various activities in their local areas.  These activities are open to everyone and we invite you to join in the spirit of Reconciliation by attending an event near you.

Queanbeyan:  On Tuesday, 27 May, Argyle staff from the Queanbeyan office will be taking part in the Reconciliation Walk in Queanbeyan which has been organised by the local Council.  If you are interested in attending please download the information flyer for further details.

Ainslie Village:  Ainslie Village staff have planned to show 3 DVDs in the main office foyer throughout NRW.  All of the DVDs promote cultural awareness and are made available through Black Screen promotions.  Anyone is welcome to come in and watch the DVDs during office hours 9.30am to 4.30pm.

All Argyle Offices:  All Argyle offices will be holding a morning tea for staff during NRW to give staff the opportunity to find out more about NRW and the  Argyle Reconciliation Action Plan.  We have invited aboriginal guest speakers to these gatherings and hope that this will provide an opportunity for us to share and learn from one another.
