Throughout the ACT and surrounding districts, heavy smoke will continue to impact these areas through the evening and the next few days. The air quality remains poor due to the smoke and there is also dust and strong winds. If you are sensitive to smoke and you are planning to go out, ensure that you use personal protection and limit your time outside. You should consider staying indoors with the windows and doors closed.
It is recommended that you avoid prolonged or heavy physical activity outside when there was smoke around.
ACT Health recommend that anyone with concerns about their health should seek medical advice from their doctor. And anyone experiencing wheezing, chest tightness or difficulty breathing should seek urgent medical attention and in the event of a medical emergency call triple-zero (000).
